COVID-19 Memorial January 19, 2021

If you saw cities lit up in amber light Tuesday night or heard church bells ringing that evening, there’s a somber reason for it.

Joe Biden’s inauguration committee is leading a nationwide memorial to remember and honor the 400,000 American lives lost to COVID-19. On Tuesday evening, there will be a special light show at the Lincoln Memorial pool in Washington, D.C. Click here to watch the memorial ceremony.

Nashville’s Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge was lit in amber in memory of the more than 400,000 lives lost to CoVID-19.  This total includes 8477 Tennesseans and 30 residents of Cheatham county.

Here in Cheatham county residents held their own memorials. Please keep these lives in your thoughts as we continue our efforts to slow the spread of this disease by wearing masks and social distancing.
